So your planning your landscaping project... The perfect proportions, colours, pavers and textures. But before you begin creating your sanctuary you will need the correct set up so your outdoor living space will last for years to come.

1. Prep the ground

The modern way:

With Next Base installation you only have to dig 2 inches deep before placing your fabric down, and filling the area with quarter down.

 

Place your Next Base on top of the quarter down and your pavers to follow!

 

What kind of fabric do you need? If you are building a garden bed,  

incorporating plants in your project you will need landscape fabric. This fabric has a woven side, allowing it to hold onto moisture better. 

If your project consist of cement or stone you will want to opt for ground cover. 

Both Fabrics help keep gravel separate from mud and discourage weeds from growing.

2. Place your pavers

 

You can then easily slide your pavers on top of your Next Base - no screeding necessary.

 

You will then need edger and spikes along any length of your patio that is not against concrete. This will keep your patio from separating.

3. Polymeric Sand

You will then place pour your polymeric sand on top of your pavers. Sweep all of the sand between each paver until they are full and sweep the rest off of the pavers. 

 

Once all the sand is off the top of the pavers soak them with water and let the sand dry until hardened.
